Carrying a cross, upon shoulder,
A young man walks the lane:
That twists and turns, with stones that hurt,
And cause Him bleeding pain.
The path to Golgotha - Skull Cave,
Where men were crucified;
Stands high aloft at Calvary,
And makes all, terrified.
The Lord of lords and King of kings,
Is Jesus, with resolve;
He took upon himself, the rod,
And mankind's sins absolve.
His Father sent Him down to earth,
Born from a virgin's womb;
The Holy Spirit gave him birth,
But men led Him to tomb!
His Father's love gave him flesh, blood,
To free mankind from hell;
The God of Universe is good,
And wants all to be well.
His only Son, Christ obeyed Him
From birth, and to last breath;
The passions of His cross were grim;
But bravely, He took death.
Yet, He will rise upon third day,
To prove that He is God;
Yes, Jesus is Truth, Life and Way,
He is indeed our Lord.
