I open my eyes as I wake sunlight.
Creeping through light curtains
Summer morning Warm,
Sleepy but waking
Awake suddenly with joy
Love
Thoughts of yesterday, just hours ago
But like a dream
The weight of your upper body on mine
Hugging me from behind
Strong arms cradle me
Under my breasts,
My face against the fluffy pillow
Eyelashes brush against softest cotton
Bathed in your masculine scent
Mingled with mine, sweet and subtle
Your warm breath tingles my neck
Gentle snores
Blowing strands of hair
Giving me goosebumps, deep in my soul
Next to me, remnants of last night
Glasses of that sweet honey whiskey
Hurriedly drunken
Sensuously enjoyed
You stir awake, like a bear
Waking from hibernation
Pulling me close
Skin to skin I turn around
As I look into chocolate coloured
Almond shaped eyes, filled with sleep
My heart lifts,
'Good morning'
