Goodbye to 2024
We will see you no more,
But, if we ever take a look
We'll find you in our history book.
Goodbye Mr President
The White House resident,
You gave us 4 great years
To which unto you we give our cheers.
Goodbye to the friends and family I lost
My prayers unto you I have tossed,
Now you belong to that year
As I shed for you a tear.
Goodbye to the woman that I left
I hope there is no pain or bereft,
Next year I will start all over
With a clean slate and a four leaf clover.
Goodbye to all the heartaches
And goodbye to all the bad breaks,
Everything is now repaired
As through those long days I was prepared.
Goodbye to the things of the past
They truly were meant not to last
Happily I am still here joyful and alive
As I welcome in 2025.
