Goodbye Poem by Wilma Barnard

It will take some time to get over you
Yesterday I saw the feeling was not mutual
My kindness, respect and sorrow became anger
For you have put my heart in danger
I said some things I didnt mean
But your hurtfull words brought out the ugly in me
You seem different now in so many ways
Here I am trying to figure out why you have changed
But the answer is far away for you have deleted me from your life
Every second of everyday it feels like Im stabbed by a knife

Everything we had seems like a waste of time now
It wont even be recycled, thats without a doubt
So this is my plea to give that peace of my heart back
It feels like your still playing in the sand with it
And if you cant send it by post or any other way
Just burry it in the ground where it will later decay
I will survive without that peace someday Im sure
But until then Im still looking for a cure

Now all to be said is goodbye to you
Its sad that our friendship had to end so soon
I hope you find happiness and love someday
And that the good person you are doesnt fade away
