Goodbye, Maybe Poem by Lacie Hebert

Goodbye, Maybe

I pack my bags, then put them down
I say I'm leaving, stick around
I tell myself I'm finally done
But then you call and I come undone
I hate the way you pull me in
Just when I'm strong enough to end
Goodbye… maybe
I say it but it never saves me
You break me, then you crave me
And I fall again, it's crazy
Goodbye… maybe
I leave but you still chase me
I'm stuck between your love and pain
Goodbye… maybe
I close the door, then open wide
I try to run, but you're inside
You're every habit I can't quit
A perfect lie I can't resist
I hate the way you pull me in
Just when I'm strong enough to end
Maybe I'll leave, maybe I'll stay
Maybe I'll break again today
