Goodbye My Love, Goodbye! Poem by Arun Maji

Goodbye My Love, Goodbye!

Rating: 5.0

goodbye my love, goodbye!
no no, I don't want to go.
leaving you here, how could I go?
Yet, who could save me
when death has embraced me?

on other side,
I would await you there;
now and lives after.
I don't know
if it would be hell or heaven!
but whatever it is
if I could see your smile
I would surely be happy again.

it's not death that I fear
rather it's parting from you
that makes me cry and despair.
it's not hell that I despise
rather it's shadow in your face
and teary eyes that I despise.

love always hurts my rose
love always hurts.
well, is there anything in mortal life
that not hurts?
rather love's wound is beautiful
and love's hurt is blissful.

wounded I am, cursed I am;
yet, I would love you again.
for you, I would fight death
and tyrants of the hell again.

o my love, let me wipe your eyes
and kiss your lips once more.
is there anything more divine
than the last kiss of yours?

goodbye my love, goodbye!
