Goodbye Yesterday 2 Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Goodbye Yesterday 2

Goodbye Yesterday, we bid adieu to thee,
Oh, Yesterday, with all thy pain and woe,
Thy troubles that did haunt unceasingly,
And sorrows that like shadows came and go.

No more we'll dwell on trials thou hast brought,
But let them fade into oblivion's veil,
For in this hour, a new day we have sought,
With hope reborn, our spirit shall prevail.

Goodbye, regrets that lingered,
Goodbye, the tears that flowed in silent streams,
We now embrace the future's fresh new start,
And leave behind the weight of shattered dreams.

So let us go, oh Yesterday, we say,
With all thy burdens that did hold us low,
For we shall rise above the clouds today,
And greet tomorrow with a radiant glow.
