Gossip - Poem by Edith Oram

Drivel, drivel, drivel,
Gush, gush, gush.
How long must I listen
To this mush?
This mish mash
Of tittle tattle,
Chitter chatter,
Rattle, rattle.
Pressure is rising
Faster and faster.
Ears are ringing,
Mind is muddling
With this inanity.
Can stand no more.
Show me the door
The portal to peace.
