O treacherous tongues that spread the word,
In whispers, hushed but ever so loud,
Fueling the flames of lies that are blurred,
By the prying ears of the gossip crowd.
They feast on tales, spiced with malice and spite,
As they pass it on from one to another,
Truth becomes fiction, twisted out of sight,
As rumors grow, like a wildfire's smother.
Their tongues, like daggers, piercing every soul,
With words that wound and hearts that bleed,
Forgetting the harm, they continue to troll,
With their treacherous tales and sinful deeds.
But beware, dear gossips, for what you sow,
Will one day be reaped, for all to know,
For words have power, beyond what we see,
They can tear apart, and ruin with ease.
The victims of your gossip, will never be free,
From the pain and sorrow, caused by your sleaze,
So let us choose our words with care
And not be lured by gossip's snare.
For a true friend, ever betray with whispers of lies,
They'll choose to uplift, rather than infect,
With words that can harm and friendships demise
So let us strive for a kinder world,
Where gossip's poison is never unfurled.
