Grace - Poem by Aminath Neena

Oh noble creature of the humankind
Art not thou an angel viewed as folly?
Here I dwell in the sea of melancholy
And there remain thou ever so loyal
To the ringed gunk that binds thee
When vows of many a common folk
Hath with time bled, ripped and broke
Yet thy regal heart cannot but withdraw
From the pleasures of smitten love
Applaud I do to thy bona fide candor
A salute for fine grace and noble valor
Even so, when my vexed heart weeps
