Grade School Super Hero - Poem by empty shell

He runs fast as the wind
Superman cape flapping behind
The kid on the short bus
Sees petrol-puddle-rainbows

Cat-like, scaling the side
Conquers Everest from the top bunk
The last kid to get picked
Studies bright stucco-ceiling-stars

Bangs his head on the wall
His favourite Gretzky helmet dented
The one who cant stand still
Drives a Daytona cardboard-box-car

Laying down in the grass
Green thick lush blades of the Amazon
Soft spoken, in the back
Hears Mozart-grasshopper-concertos

Climbs ladders with purpose
Plastic red hat tilts over his face
The big kid in the park
Goes down painted slide-fire-poles

Blow bubbles and be free
Make red-velvet mud-pie-cheesecakes
Then look at him and wonder
Why he doesn't feel sorry for you
