Gran'ma, I Had To Remember Poem by Rahman Henry

Gran'ma, I Had To Remember

Rating: 5.0

Gabtali is not so a place of importance
That the world could recall it
At the very first hearing
But I had to and so did my father

You were a woman of words
For some reasons, you left your husband
Alone with your younger son
And never came back

When your parents, welwishers
And also the nieghbours provoced
To return to your hubby and children
You kissed but the death

Gran'ma, I knew you never
And so did my father, Gran'ma, but
Father and I know your grave
Gran, ma I had to remember GABTALI

Gabtali is not so a place of importance...... but a history that makes a parallel biography of the poet and his father....!
