Grandma’s Home Poem by Marilyn Lott

Grandma’s Home

Grandma’s home was special
My second home you see
I enjoyed my brother’s horse too
Who loved to visit with me

I had lunch with Grandma every day
During school in the early days
She made the most delicious lunch
In her kitchen without delay

So many memories I recall
Such loving thoughts of her
I remember too the smokehouse
Where hams were left to cure

The cellar where she stored vegetables
Through winter for a delicious meal
Oh yes, I loved the food
That had that Grandma’ seal

I loved my loving Grandma
So beautiful when she was young
And every wrinkle so special
As an older lady she had become

Yes, many special memories
That I’ll have forever, you see
I smile as I turn back the clocks
For Grandma meant so much to me!
