Grandpa John's Poem Poem by Johnna Ann

Grandpa John's Poem

When you look into my eyes
Do you see the pain I'm trying to disguise?
Am i fooling you good enough?
Or can you tell my happiness is a bluff?

I've walked in circles for so long
Singing this one sad song
Don't just let me be
Because on my own I will never be free

You see the pain in my eyes
And you tell me to look up to the skies
For there I will see you
And then you tell me 'I love you'

I miss you with all my heart
I cried teh day we had to part
I can't wait for the day I see you
Because then I will tell you how much I really do love you
