Grateful Poem by Kay Bressner

Grateful

I'm grateful for today's warm breeze,
the yellow fleurs-de-lis,
scent of clean laundry.

A pearlized mural in the sky,
birds sailing smoothly, up high,
inscribing benedictions divine

In transparent ink;
and my friendly new neighbor
who's planted flowers so pink.
