Grateful For My Fakirs Poem by Sumita Jetley

Grateful For My Fakirs

In the gentle dawn, Mahim awakes,
To a canvas painted in warm sunrise stakes.
Stretched and walked to the day's embrace,
A balcony view, a serene grace.

Mother's silhouette against the light,
Drying clothes, a tranquil sight.
Terrace gardens in breeze's play,
A joyous start to the new day.

Kneeling in bliss, heart soars high,
With saints and fakirs, his spirit ties.
Chishtiya, Qadir, orders of old,
In their path, his faith bold.

A prayer rises, in morning's glow,
For the saints, the traditions they sow.
To the Creator, beyond our sight,
In gratitude for this profound light.

In everyday moments, the divine he found,
A cosmic dance, in time unbound.
On his balcony, in the sun's warm embrace,
Mahim touches eternity, a timeless grace.
