Gratitude Poem by Loveth Afuye

Gratitude

Life isn't a bed full of roses
if it was
you'll find beggars on horses
It may seem all sweet and cozy
but in reality
it's a facade of affliction
Do not say
'I wish to be like him'
as you never know
what lies beneath those smiles
while you think your's the worst
others may think you're just damn lucky
The Monday mornings you so much dread
Is what someone begs to wake up to
Truly money can't buy happiness
'but money brings happiness' you'll quote
Remember, The Rich Also Cry
Rather than being an ingrate
Go on your knees and show gratitude
for it open doors to greater heights.
