Graveyards Into Gardens Poem by Anny B

Graveyards Into Gardens

Rating: 5.0

Turning graveyards into gardens
That's how it felt
Blood on my scars
Was so sweet
By the way
Some things are only found
To be lost
They say
Like the moon who only shines
Cause she has an eclipse to create

Turning graveyards into gardens is a concept embedded in Hinduism. In most sub-communities of Hindus, there is no separate graveyards. The bodies are cremated in the same compound where he or she lived. And a post-cremation ritual is sowing seeds on the ground where the cremation was done.
