With Winter begun
and a full moon night
the moon ever so pure and bright.
The weather was pleasant
with soft breeze.
We walked slowly and noticed a bench,
we sat together,
with my hand on her shoulder I pulled her close,
my warmth she needed as she leaned in close.
Without a word, we enjoyed the weather,
resting in my arms with eyes closed,
she reveled the bliss,
with a gentle smile proof of her happiness
which she felt with our closeness.
I held her ever more so firmly,
in an embrace warm and comforting,
and kissed her on her lovely forehead,
with warmth and joy flooding me,
I said to myself, 'How great this love is,
How great this world.'
