Great Men Poem by Weldon Davis

Great Men

Object unattainable
Wonder why?
Stars blinded by moons
Sun in the sky
Concrete on floors
Locked doors
Never knowing
What to love
Or what to love for
Searching for reasons
Told to be positive
Life has many a fancy
Quite the opposite
Object unattainable (Sigh)
As we wonder why
We ask Allah for forgiveness
Look for Jesus in the sky
To save us
From this wretched existence
We pray and pray
Fellowship we visit
Looking for peace
Devoured by sin
Never knowing
All along
We were
Great men
