Greatness Poem by Bame Bame

Greatness

Rating: 5.0

You told me it was impossible, you defined your limits
I achieved greatness, I guess I defied mine
You said it was over, you saw the redline
I kept on going, thank God I'm colour blind

I failed the first time and you told me to quit
I guess you don't know the true meaning of grit
Discourage me again and you might collide with a brick
Don't dim my light just because you can't find yours

I delayed gratification you called me slow
I'm intentional with my life, I don't go with the flow
The day you start building, my cup will be on overflow
And when you're ready, ill teach you all you need to know

I sewed a seed and you want to co-sign on the harvest?
There is enough for everybody, it's an open market
I'm almost there so let's pull out the red carpet
Your words can't stop me, you thought I was an easy target?

I'm going to do all I can to be the best
Not better than the rest, I'm doing this for me
And maybe then, everybody would see
The endless possibilities to achieve greatness
