I Wish The World Was Better Poem by Bame Bame

I Wish The World Was Better

You reached out your hand but they folded theirs
You needed help they failed to dial triple 9
You cried yourself to sleep hoping for a better tomorrow
Sadly, every morning pain still came for breakfast
Everyone abandoned you; I wish that was a crime

They said Karma wanted you to pay up
To make matters worse, you gave it a blank check?
You changed address, but your deeds provided it with KYC info
People say a person's past always catches up to them
I guess yours was in the fast lane

You took your own life
They pretended to care
They made it about them
Tell me, is that fair?
Their social media was filled with broken heart emojis

They said "we didn't know"
But the truth is, they felt like you deserved it
People say you have to die to go to hell
But you were in it before you died
So much was against you, life never gave you a chance

How people saw you was because of what was around you and not inside you
It's human nature to magnify the bad and not comprehend the reason
You just needed help
I guess death was your only friend
