Green Eyed Monster Poem by Kolawole Lovelin

Green Eyed Monster

I'm jealous of the womb
That Caged you for months,
It's closer than your shadow
thence, gradually provoking my soul.

I'm jealous of the wind,
That pierced through your skin
Cause, It's closer than my hands have ever been.
Thereby, driving me nuts day by day.

I'm jealous of your friends,
playing you hide and seek
Cause, they seek your feet
More than I do
And it drastically draws you away from me.

I'm jealous of your house,
Not the mere building.
But, thought of your intimacy
Drives me CRAZY
And makes me want to be the building
That'll house your body forever.
