We left home in frustration
as the land beckoned on us
to join the queue of dedication
to the letters imposed on us.
We fixed our eyes on the letters
erected on the faraway land
and our caps given new feathers
crafted out of our farmland.
We returned home on vacation
to behold our forest of hope
where we once bowed in meditation
as we enjoyed the breeze of hope.
Alas!
The green forest are yellowish
as the fruitful trees
that fed our mouths of hunger
surrendered willingly their roots
to the strange Fire
that raided the helpless forest
with his axe of pains
and cutlass of horrors.
The forest is gone.
The trees are burnt.
Now, we build our home
with planks burnt off our home
in pranks
and sold back to us as dome
in ranks
