Grey Skies Poem by Ruth L. Rivers

Grey Skies

The world gazes in on me as soul peers out
Ah yes, this is my hearts pout
My little moody day of rain and grey skies
Cheer of sun is refused by eyes
An in-home day with soup and a blanket
Skimming over mementos kept
A place on a map covered with a rainy day
Color out makes for inside play
Moods vary little from days shade to shade
Extremes in temper are forbade
Clouds refuse turbulences time allotted space
A softer calm takes the place
Grey skies swirl out and in with no ending
Window only shades blending
Reminiscent ghosts smile and frown in drift
Whimsical visions are rains gift
