The storm that was laid out
wasn't supposed to be the one that sent me to the end
but I'm drowning above water
A concept I never thought was possible
And won't leave this body or heart the same
How do you give air and breathe life into
a shattered rub cage
And a heart that's known no light
In a body drowning above water
who only knows war
My tears I use as watercolor
To paint a world with a different time frame
I use bright colors making magic of what Ive known
As night
Bringing every shadow to light
Do you hear the music?
The sound that travels pouring out of this heart
Under water it moves it calls
With its final force
It asks
Where should I bare these marks
You can respond it will be okay
As the memories decay
Night tearing apart skin
But I know a lantern eventually burns out
As the was builds a wall around it snuffing and swallowing it up
It too drowns above water
But there does it leave its mark?
