Growth Poem by ROGEL FRANCIS SORIOSO

Growth happens when we develop physically from being an infant and soon becoming old
When throughout those times we learn, travel, work, succeed or fail for our stories be told
Although others had physically grown yet they have not outgrown their own mindset
For they haven't tried anything different from their usual acts which are common or ordinary
These people are usually uptight and boring in taking such risks for something extraordinary
They usually reject new things or even refuse to socialize in public out of their own fear
Perhaps for having a low self-esteem or low confidence so they avoid the social sphere
It could also be from the upbringing of their family and parents which made them that way
But once your in the right age why still avoid those new things which you could afford to pay
For once do something outrageous or crazy and set your captive soul or heart free
God created everything in this planet whether good or bad for us all to try and see
But I'm not saying that you should try to rob a bank or even try to steal
But to try all things legal which the people enjoy doing in order to feel
Try the new things you haven't tried yet for your life will eventually come to an end
So someday before you die you wont have any regrets at all for not trying to amend
If you're rich try the things poor people do or even eat just for one given day
For you'll never know if you'll be as poor as a rat in your next life sad to say
By working as a delivery driver to the very same company which you used to own
But Karma played the game back to you when you used to have a heart of stone
If your poor then try living fancy even just by eating something new and expensive
Eating in a classy restaurant out from what you have saved for being quite extensive
But if you are somehow extremely poor then do something new like work even harder
To bear in mind all the possibilities amidst the trials but should never try to surrender
To conquer everything that you're afraid of by facing what you all fear
Don't confine yourself in a box where you could no longer see or hear
Always follow your own heart for its God's way of guiding us emotionally
Through our own feelings he makes us realize our own value spiritually
Being naturally wicked or bad is only temporary once you've learned to grow
No matter how grave our sins are God will still touch us in what he will show
No amount of prayer could change you but only through the events that will happen later
Which will open your eyes and make you understand as you outgrow yourself to be better
Growing is adapting to the new norm and letting go of the conventionally old
You could try to be bad or try to be good for all of the beliefs that you uphold
For most of the people who have many regrets always ask what if I only tried
But only to realize that they lost the perfect moment for all their selfish pride
In life we must outgrow ourselves with courage and strength to try what is different
For we are already dead when were asleep and death is just a cycle which is apparent
For it is always the fear of death and also of the unknown which clouds our soul or mind
So if my poetry and the events in the world doesn't convince you then you must be all blind
