A seed has been buried in the ground
It takes time but it learns, learns to sprout
A caterpillar lays in wait, feelings bound
It takes time but it understands, understands without doubt
The sprout grows into a tree, it brings home butterflies in all sorts
Over time, it learns, learns that not all pretty creatures are good
Wings grown, the caterpillar emerges anew, it no longer coverts
Over time, it understands, understands that it no longer should
The tree, in its maturity, bears fruit for any that wanders by
In time, it learns, learns that it has to help itself sometime
The butterfly searches the skies, in search for clarity of it's retry
In time, it understands, understands that answers will never align
In its learnings, the tree finds peace
In it's understandings, the butterfly finds harmony
