O' Lord Somesa! (Lord Shiva in Kulathur) ,
The sacred saint, the son of Kaadhi is defamed
By the people in this world since he had stolen
The meat of the dog's tail! - the truth said so out of it is
That ‘Guard yourself by heart against every dark thought
Of stealing lest you should be made scornful by the world!
Note:
Sacred and hungry saint, Viswamithra, Son of Kaathi, waking up from the penance of long duration, stole and tried to eat the tail portion of the meat of a dog kept in the hut of a hunter. But as the hunter came and noticed, the saint requested to forgive him for his behavior.
