Guess Who! Poem by Ray William Roldan

Guess Who!

I lie on the floor
till long nights end,
my eye on the door
as I wait for my friend!

'Don't make a fuss'
he calls out to me,
'there's just two of us
and with you there will be three'!

'My name of course
goes without note,
my friend is the horse
you'll ride to the boat'!

'No need for money
you've paid me with day's,
and no milk or honey
I'd shrink from your praise'!

'And I must say that it's alway's
a pleasure my friend!
your companies a treasure
though it's always The End'!
