Who inspires you?
My mother asked one day
It was only half true, but
I said ‘you in every way’

I couldn’t speak my mind
For she would be upset
But my true inspiration
Is someone I’ve never met

She is funny and strong
Though a little too loud
She always has an answer
And of that she is proud

Misunderstood by most
Yet known to all
She believes in herself
And never feels small

I won’t tell you her name
Only that she’s a friend
And she will be with you forever
Her life has no end
