Hazel Eyes Poem by Kelly McG

Hazel Eyes

I day dream all day
Of your perfect face
And that gorgeous smile
That never seems out of place

When you stare me in the eyes
My heart runs a marathon
And my eyes are locked in place
To the hazels they look upon

I wish I could talk with you all day
Just to hear your irresistible voice
Like a slave to its depth
It’s like I have no other choice

When I feel cold
I imagine your hands next to mine
Your love would warm me
As our fingers entwine

It seems these thoughts will never pass
And as long as you’re around
My heart will always skip a beat
Yet be too soft to make a sound
The things I could say
Though inappropriate they seem
Would make you fall for me
And end my crazy dream

You would whisk me away
In your strong, loving arms
And I would always follow you
A slave to your charms

We would always be together
Till death do us part
And beyond that I know
Always in each other’s heart

The perfect ending to a perfect story
And the perfect man for me
Till your eyes move on to your book
And forever set me free
