Guide Poem by Vaishnavi Singh

Rating: 5.0

In the forest of dark,
When a traveller lost his way,
When night was having a stay,
A ray of light could give a mark.

The mystery of an unsolved heart,
When the brain is unable to move,
When the eyes don't seem to groove,
A closest friend shows his art.

Amateurs starting an important task,
When their mind was new to it,
When their heart struggled to beat,
A 'retired' will be the one whom they 'll ask.

Someone who stops from going to wrong side,
Who just says and not ask,
To hide, does not need a mask,
In all ways is right as he is the guide.

This poem illuminates the truth in life, where the younger generation, when not knowing the answer, seeks an elder to enlighten them. It is up to all seniors to guide young people in the ways of righteousness and truth, they do not need a mask, as you state, because they are the light that shines on truth. Wisdom and knowledge must be shared through the ages because it stands the test of time, fostering courage and strength to live life in freedom. Your poem is sublime and at the same time glaring with the brilliance of intellect. Very good to see in someone at your young age. Thank you for sharing your views, they are appreciated. RoseAnn
