Gulf Of Mexico Poem by Keila Lozada

Gulf Of Mexico

Going back home to the waves
sand and sunshine
Where the roar of the ocean foams
in your ears
How I miss the salt spray which mists your eyes
Lingers on your skin
Carmel and ebony bodies
lay flat on iridescent towels
Coconut and banana oil
wafting in the air
My tropical paradise on the shore
of the gulf
Restaurants, hotels and condos
twinkle at night
Shying the stars to retreat
