Gulls Don't Just Pout

Who backwhen said 'gull' for the bird,
stuck to it when Vainqueur brought 'mouette'.

Had who not ruled that out
(perhaps for the slur)
we might now say 'poutlet',
or 'pout';
say 'the rapacious pout'
after 'There by the hull'
in place of 'the greedy gull'.
