Gutless - Poem by Robert Brendan

running how you will pose the
question
so you don’t screw it up
not suave
every minute you spent being
so much of a damn coward
is another hour of regret
for later on down the road
setting up when you ask
your buddy the question
series
her name is what?
is she single?
and more important
gay?
and even if you get that info
asking for it only
because
you fear rejection from the
latter two
factuality’s
of probability
destruction.
