Gutted Poem by pringle popper

Gutted

Tears threaten to come,
As they prickle behind my eyes,
I thought I was smart,
It appears I'm not very wise,
My fairytale life,
Came to an abrupt end,
After my vile ways,
Have hurt my boyfriend,
My marriage is over,
Before it begun,
And I've only got myself to blame,
For being oh so dumb,
This lump in my throat,
Threatens to choke me as I swallow,
Now I carry this weird grief around,
But I also feel hollow,
I should have shown love,
But instead I seemed to show hate,
I should never have interfered,
With destiny and fate,
I just wanted to show you off,
To everyone in the world,
I was just so proud to be,
Your one and only girl,
And now I've gone and ruined it all,
Making everything so big,
Just left you feeling small,
I hate the fact I've hurt you,
I one I love the most,
But now I have to deal with it,
I'm empty like a ghost,
Now I have to ring around,
And cancel every plan,
I just hope that regardless of it all,
I will still get to call you my man.
