Half Empty, Haf Full Poem by casey Brackett

Half Empty, Haf Full

Being a pessimist is the best way to go:
no matter what bad things may happen,
they're not as bad
because you were already expecting them to be as bad as they were. You don't have to worry about any promises or hopes being unfufilled, you didn't believe in them anyway.
Being a downer isn't so bad,
you know the glass is half-empty,
and that you got what you deserved.
at least you were given what you had.
Sometimes it's a bit more than what you expected.
