Halloween Party Poem by Justin Gildow

Halloween Party

Tonight is Halloween
And inside the house, myself and others
are celebrating this magicial night
With our own Halloween party
Dishes of pizza with many toppings line
near the stove
Lasagna is on the other side of the stove
In many of the decorative bowls
There's chips, pretzels, chocolate bars,
and gummy candy
Halloween sodas are packed 6 rows high

We all decide to sit down and eat before
we celebrate
The food we eat and drink is plentiful
Candelabras with dripping blood red candles
are placed as centerpieces on the table

After our Halloween feast
Dessert is on a cart by the table
A huge Halloween cake and a huge bowl of
green jello
I help myself to helpings of both
Enjoying the both of them
Along with having a Halloween soda

After eating
I walk around the house
Talking with many other guests
And posing for pictures with life-sized
Halloween figures
Black and white monster movies play on
the TV
Many are watching the movies
While some like me are just enjoying the night
And taking in the magic of this holiday

Outside
I see many trick-or-treaters
Walking the many streets
Going door to door to many houses
Reveling in their own small victories
Just as I am tonight
At this Halloween party
