~handle~ - Poem by Sinnaminsun Sinnaminsun

Tell me, is love ever worth faking
to keep a heart from breaking?
Will endless denial build a bridge to you,
or lead astray and run us through?

Lie if the truth's not what I need,
tell a tale so we won't bleed.
Keep it coming until full within,
before false hopes are caving in.

Have you been so close things blurred,
not ever listening, still hearing every word?
All denial does is bridge a gap,
for a love certain to collapse.
