There’s nothing like hanging clothes on the line
They’ve done it since time began.
Whether a branch or a caveman’s rock
But today it’s not really a trend.
They come out fresh as you give them a sniff
So sweet it just makes you smile
Let’s go back into the past again
Let’s go back for just awhile.
For me the tension fades away
As I them hang up one thing at a time
I stretch and pin them upon the line
Knowing they’ll smell so sweet and fine
It is such an old-fashioned simple thing
Have you tried it? Oh please do
If just one time in all your life
I know it would make you smile too!
