Hannah Poem by Daryl Elliott

Hannah

Rating: 0.5

Clouds cover my darkened sky
My life changed and I don't know why
A tear for each day, your no where near
To never see you again, is my deepest fear
Taken so soon before you can know
That I am your dad, my love I can't show
I rocked you to sleep and tucked you in bed
I made sure you mind and body were fed
We laughed and played, I gave all I could
and did all the things a real dad should
Sweet, dear Hannah, I know it's not much
A love in my heart, your mother can't touch
