Hannah C. Nuernburg Poem by Moth Harris

Hannah C. Nuernburg

Kind eyes and paper cranes
Friendship that keeps us sane
With a new name and face
I remember you from so long ago
A memory that would let me know
That the person I am today
Only turned out this way
Because of you

I hope you realize
With those kind eyes
That you are never alone
Not as long as I’m alive
Because you’re my dearest friend
The reason I survived, for so long
With no care in my heart
After it was torn apart
By such a cold winter
