An insightful depiction of happiness, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Indeed, happiness is a state of mind, it's one ability to embrace good times and discard bad ones, it's the projection of positive thinking and the capacity to take things and situations in stride. Money does not give true happiness on its own alone, but rather it does nourish an already happy and peaceful state of mind. A lovely piece of poetry bristling with knowledge. Thanks for sharing Thilliar. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
I have been thinking often lately about how to be happy, or at least avoid unhappiness. I am not always happy, sometimes the reason is obvious, sometimes not. Your poem gains immensely because you quote Charles Dickens. I find it impossible to be happy without much money, although you do make a good point. Having friends and good social relationships-I think that helps you to be happy, if you are fortunate enough to have these people to call on. A poem which really makes me think.
