Happiness In Every Circumstance Poem by Achim Wollscheid

Happiness In Every Circumstance

Days, long and hard,
yet tranquil, but still not sufficient enough;
I spend my days in ups and downs,
never is there more smiles than frowns.
Too many say they are happy,
I happen to be one,
and now I see it is really what I am.
The moods I go through
depend on the things I suffer, and revel.
There is never joy within me,
No...happiness does
not exist during my pain.
Hours grow and lessen,
people change from kind to uncaring
and wretched to wise.
Countless authority love,
but more are bound to chastise;
However, whatever the happenstance may be,
I must learn to live joyfully.
