Happy Birthday, Aunty Diana. Poem by Ndimancho T. Nyowikeh

Happy Birthday, Aunty Diana.

Dear aunt, none is amazing like you,
You're spunky, witty, and perky__it's genuine.
When heard it was your birthday, I couldn't defy.
For your birth date, I hope you have a fairly day,
A very special birthday, that's what I desired.

A wish for lots of born house fun
To last until the day is done.
Hoping your yearnings come forth.
Out of five aunts, you made the last push.
Heaven took her time to create you in form,
Evidence, Heaven couldn't afford to lose you.
On that birth date, while pa Ndims in delight
Elysium, for parting you, all in dropping eyes.
As you were special to the unknown forces.
So, it is a thing of today and forever shall be.

As the sound of the church bell reverberates,
So will the shouts of your birthday echoes.
DIANA, the name Heaven severed for queens
Certainly, yours, for you closed Mama's cord
And kept the keys of LUCK with you.
As the day carries your D-day to an end,
In the same manner, we name you Lady D.
Since D is for Dyne,
It's the secret time to meet with Dyne.
As I cast the last line of this verse,
Remember your good deeds I bore in mind.
