Love was born as girl today
–A gift from God above;
Mary’s clement baby lay
–An Aquarian, oh, wow!
Those were years of poverty;
The family was in strife;
She has turned now seventy,
Despite turmoil in life.
Spinster, teacher, sister great,
Sacrificing so much;
Helping others until date;
Speaking kind words that touch.
Solitude has made her smile;
Mom left her all alone;
Trudging bravely her last mile,
Cooking, praying on own.
God beside her stood always;
Valiantly spends her time;
Honestly, she passes days,
Making her life, sublime.
Birthday has come once again;
Her good work seems a mount;
Walking still in heaven’s lane,
Blessings, she loves to count!
‘Happy Birthday, dear sister! ’
