I don't remember the last time
I celebrate my anniversary
I don't think of the last time
I blew a candle on a cake
I don't recall the last jamboree
any gifts or any wishes...
Indeed, it's been a long time
But what I know for sure
I celebrate life everyday
I enjoy that miraculous span
every day breathing and living
a gift that I don't take for granted
I am grateful and blessed
Thanks Lord, and with your guidance
I will continue that daily bash celebration
because tomorrow is not promise
and I know, waking up a few feet above
it's way better than sleeping a few feet under
