Dear Children…
We brought you forth into this world,
So that you all could live,
A better life than what we had,
And so our love, we give.

A gift of God to bless our stay
Are children upon earth;
They give us bliss, we always miss,
When they grow up from birth.

But God gave us you precious souls,
Not that we all deserve;
We slogged our best and kept our goals,
And Maker, thus we serve.

We do not want credit for this,
For grace of God was prime;
We wish that you should share your bliss
With parents old sometime.

May be, we could not help your dream
Come true in ways you want;
We pray and hope just smiles you beam,
A word of thanks you chant.

But remember to thank the Lord
Who made you wholesome first;
You ought to live as per His Word,
And carry cross like Christ!
