Happy Night Song Poem by Kieran John J McGuigan

Happy Night Song

I hear the vespers calling
every evening, nearing dusk.
I know the one whose missing
As sunrays fade to dust.

I think I've found a charm or two
And one of them is you.

For the night is happy now I am free
To fall in love with a girl like thee
I never said this, you never said that
yet might it be the same?

To sway the night with spindled hips
Then close my eyes upon your lips
I might of said this, you might of said that
yet might it be the same?

And dare I ask sweet lady
if you might stay the night
A kiss of wine beside me?

Oh adorations you will bring
the night made happy so I may sing
I have you in this, you have me in that
in happiness one the same.
